I try not to get political here to often, but I learned something today that was just too outrageous not to share. Seems the United Church of Christ has begun an ad campaign to spread the word about their inclusive policies. The spot, which shows bouncers refusing a variety of folks, including blacks and gays, has been refused by both CBS and NBC. CBS' rationalizations include a reference to Bush's Constitutional Amendment agenda, which strikes me as the most off the wall excuse I've heard to date. The UCC can't advertise that they accept gay couples because the Executive Branch (Or, he who must not be named) wants to prevent them from marrying? There's some fine logic.
