Church Battles "Da Vinci Code," Scientology Silliness
Friday July 22, 2005
The Catholic Church is now apparently so worried about the effects of the "Da Vinci Code" that they're putting together their own attack site in an attempt to counteract the effects of the book and its claims. It's central feature will be a biography of Mary Magdalen- presumably, one in which she is emphatically not an apostle, not married to Jesus, and so on. Not that the Church has been a reliable source of information on Mary, having only gotten around to clearing up the prostitute rumor nearly two millenia after the fact! More dogmatic troubles. The gullible whining about the credulous. (Or is that vice-versa?)
