Another witch hunt in India, where a woman accused of killing a baby with witchcraft was beaten and paraded naked through her village after 'refusing' to bring the baby back to life.
Pop star Madonna is catching hell (no puns intended) for writing a song about legendary Kabbalist Isaac Luria. This strikes me as the pop equivalent of a liver flavored jelly bean, but maybe that's just me. It seems maybe Judaism is simply the last religion left on the list to offend.
Speaking of celebrities with east-of-mainstream religious ideas, Tom Cruise and his new finace are in the news agin- because they might concievably opt for a 'silent birth,' a practice that got fellow Scientologists John Travolta and Kelly Preston into the news a while back.
I could be okay with the Catholic Church's fantasy of complete opposition to the Nazis, but for the continual attempts to tie National Socialism and Neopaganism into a neat little bow. It was German Christians, not Neopagans, who made Naziism a success.
