Censored South Park, Ark of the Covenant
Friday December 30, 2005
On the subject of South Park, they finally got one deemed too nasty for television...or too offensive to increasingly vocal Catholics The same group that brought you the 'Happy Holidays' boycott). The episode, which featured the new Pope being sprayed with blood by a 'miraculous' statue, is probably too offensive for anyone. (which is too bad- it looked funny)
The old, strange story of the Ark of the Covenant and its reclusive guardian squirreled away in an Ethiopian church is popping up again. Supposedly, the obscure church in Axum, Ethiopia, is the final resting place of the Ark, a legendary biblical relic that supposedly contains the tablets of Moses. The Ark was supposedly deposited there by the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
