Anglican Not Outraged at the Code, Britney Rejects Kabbalah, Wicca In Scotland, Baha'is in Iran

An Anglican Archbishop disappoints the media by not denouncing the Da Vinci Code as Satanic or blasphemous, and had to settle for "slow-moving."

Britney reveals that the real reason she left the Kabbalah Center because they pestered her for money.

The Scotman looks at Scotland's Wiccans, which by their estimates number over 200,00.0 (Take that, James Stuart!)

An interesting profile of Chechnya's Sufis, zikr dancing, and a fantastic image of a new mosque going up in Grozny.

Not every minority faith is so lucky- 54 Baha'i teachers working with UNICEF were arrested last week, as Iranian officials continue to harass members of the faith, raiding homes, confiscating boooks and literature, and generally making lives miserable for non-Muslims all over.

Cheesy little "voodoo dolls" banned in China are now enourmously popular, which just goes to show telling people they can't have something just makes it more in-demand.

Finally, miracle of miracles, a positive treatment of the religious themes in the Da Vinci Code:

"We need an awakening, and now, from the clammy patriarchal falsehoods we grew up with."
