"The Incredibly Strange Story of Intelligent Design"
Wednesday November 29, 2006
Reverend Max explores
the inevitable path of the evangelical right's battle
to teach "intelligent design theory" in public schools- namely,
creationism divested of its outward appearance of religious affiliation, a
move that could open a literal Pandora's box of alternate explanations of the
origin and development of life on earth. Reasoning that our current situation
could only be the work of incompetence, he offers the ancient Gnostic
creation story, wherein the universe as we know it is a messy prison built by bumbling
archons, as an educational alternative.
