Atheist Satanists Want Your Soul

The evil plot concerns the "Blasphemy Challenge," an internet video project wherein atheists publicly flaunt the biblical injunction against the "unforgivable sin" of denying the existence of the Holy Spirit. In the interest of relieving themselves and others of irrational fear, nonbelievers videotape themselves in the act and post on YouTube, an act that, according to some, is a one-way ticket to Hell.
According to Bill, it's worse than that- it's an actual Satanic plot, using unwitting atheists to steal children's souls. He doesn't seem to really get the idea, expressing confusion that atheists would quote the bible:
"They deny that God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit exist; so why do they quote from the Bible? They do not believe that Jesus exists --- yet, they tell you that Jesus will not forgive you. If He does not exist, how can He forgive you? "
Bill leapfrogs the obvious answer and goes straight for the mental gymnastics- they're not really atheists, they DO believe in Jesus, and they want to condemn your soul, so they must be Satanists. Bill seems seriously worried that all that stands between innocent children and hellfire is one silly internet stunt. Needless to say, Bill's God seems rather capricious- which is just the problem with such findamentalism, and why stunts like the Blasphemy Challenge are succeeding. To people like Bill, God is just the sort of illogical, cruel anthropormorphism the atheists find ridiculous. To Bill, God is not ineffable mystery, but a capricious trickster who populates the world with religions and demands you adhere to one, with a narrowly defined set of rules laid out by men like Gray- one slip from the knife's edge, and off you go into a pit of fire forever- and yet poor Pastor Bill can't seem to grasp why that view would be so lightly rejected.

It all seems rather silly since the Pope finally admitted there is no hell. Some people just need to worry about something.
Great article, nice to hear some truth about atheism. It has such a bad conotation because of jerks like Bill. It is simply a lack of beleif in the supernatuaral. Bill, you are an athesist of all the god’s , but one! Does that mean that you are going to hell too? No, cuz there isn’t one. You will just waist your one life making others feel lousy and annoyed!

Let me just say that, as a Christian, I deplore people like Bill here who preach fire and brimestone so much that they can’t see people laughing in their faces. Not only does it achieve nothing, but it gives Christians and Christianity a bad name. I hope people know we’re not all like that!
