A Druid's Tale
Friday May 25, 2007
Here's something a bit un usual- it's a "local pagan profile" story that manages to be both respectful (not a toad joke in sight) and informative. The Petersborough Telegraph (A UK paper) interviews Jody, a local Druid priestess, about her beliefs, how she found her religion, and doesn't dwell very much on the reactions of others. In all, not terribly deep, but a pleasant surprise all the same.

How cool! She’s not presented as a weirdo.
Thanks, how unusual, I was searching for the story of Taliesin and I stumble upon A Druid’s Tale, I thought interesting and when I open it, it’s an article about me ha ha. Now that is wyrd!
Now, that IS stange! (and coincidentally, Taliesin is what I worked on yesterday)
now that’s even stranger ha ha
For sure. But if you’re still looking for taliesin, I’m your man. (figuratively speaking, of course)
“DRUIDISM is a religion that predates Christianity and emphasises getting in tune with the natural world.”
No neo paganism predates christianity but that was probably editorialising. Other then that its a great article I liked that its based more on reconnecting with your heritage then on spells and other commercial stuff. well worth the read, Slainte Jennifer.

There were Druids before Christianity. NeoPagan Druidry or Druidism is an academically-intense reconnection with our Ancient Past. Very nice article and thank you for allowing us to link to it! Three-fold Blessings!
