Criticizing Scientology, Guru Nanak Birthday Controversy, Pagan Origin of Groundhog's Day

Wednesday February 2, 2005

Family members of Scientologists are again complaining that members are cutting off contact with them for criticizing the Church- which in turn, refers to them as "Suppressives," and encourages members to avoid associating with them. (Not to be outdone, the Kabbalah Center encourages similar behavior in members)

Sikhs in Gujarat are offended that Guru Nanak's Birthday was not included in a list of state holidays. (Who is Guru Nanak? )

Here's cute article about he Pagan origins of Goundhog's Day.
