Sufism in Saudi Arabia, Neopagan Abuse Rituals, Dr. Seuss and Kabbalah

Thursday March 3, 2005

Here's a frightening look at what it means to be a member of a minority sect in Saudi Arabia. Even as Crown Prince Abdullah attends the funeral service of a prominent Sufi Teacher, his followers may still be jailed and persecuted.

A pair of child abusers are getting what they deserve, but it's driving me to distraction to read over and over that puncturing a child (or any person, for that matter) with a tattoo needle ois a form of "Neopagan Initiation Ritual." On what planet?!

Over at Tim Boucher's Occult Blog, I stumbled on this great link, and had to share: The Occult Dr. Seuss. Since yesterday was the birthday of the children's Bard, it's especialy appropriate. (Worth a click just for the Green Eggs and Ham Tree)

Here's an interesting bit about the old practice of hiding shoes.
