Sikh charged for carrying a Kirpan, Worried about the Religous Right, Beltane Roundup

A Danish Sikh is fighting a weapons charge after he was arrested for carrying his Kirpan at a US embassy in Denmark. Ripudaman Singh is a Khalsa Sikh who is required to carry the symbolic weapon, one of five marks of a Khalsa Sikh. Although he voluntarily surrendered his kirpan before entering the embassy, he was still arrested and charged. You can read more about the Kirpan here.

Not worried about the Religious Right? Maybe we should be.

This is a first, as far as I know: an interview with a modern Gnostic believer. On the down side, one might know less about Gnosticism after reading it, as it presents Gnosticism as a sort of Zen mindfulness practice.
