Yezidis offended by "Devil" Comments, The "King" of Ireland, "Druid Thing" Revisited

Wednesday August 10, 2005

An interesting tiff in Iraqi government: a Yezidi member of Iraq's parliment chewed out the Prime Minister for maligning Lucifer with a common Muslim phrase. (There are three Yezidis out of 275 MPs.)

Meet the new King of Ireland.

The ACLU is now involved in the "Druid Thing" case, arguing that the charges against a couple allegedly pulled over for a bumper sticker should be dropped. The police officers who pulled the couple over and proselytized to them after spotting an "It's a Druid Thing" bumpersticker are no longer working, but the prosecution isn't dropping charges against the driver.

Totally off topic but too awful not to mention: Wal-Mart murder.
