Vatican Defends Crusades, Hellenic Pagans, Easter Bunny Banned
Sunday March 26, 2006
The Vatican has apparently decided that the best way to boost their flagging popularity in the world is to attempt to rehabilitate the reputation of Crusaders, in effect rescinding Pope JP2's famous apology. The new stance recasts the crusaders as pious heroes who saved the "Holy Land" from Muslim aggression. Just who they were saving it from is not mentioned- nor whether or not they consider the Crusades' Jewish, Christian, and child victims to have also been "aggressors."
Vassilis Tsantilas and his fellow "Gentile Hellenes," native worshippers of the ancient Greek gods, may at long last been granted permission to worship publicly. Greece is officially a Christian state.

Someone should tell these guys that an Easter bunny is not exactly a Christian symbol. This silly one is bidding to make the bunny the next "war against Christianity." Now it's been a very long time since I was a Christian, but I don't recall ANY tenet of the faith involving rabbits, and I might have noticed if Christians had begun wearing rabbits on their lapels.
