Opus Dei, Wiccan Pedophile, 6/6/06 Panic, "Left Behind" Video Game

Wednesday May 31, 2006
For all the complaining, you'ds think Opus Dei was really suffering after being the featured baddies in thne Da Vinci Code, but suprisingly, their membership numbers are up.

An Autralian man who used his Wiccan religion as an excuse for pedophilia will be released, prompting other Pagans in Oz to point out that sex crimes are not normal Wiccan practice.

With the infamous date 6/6/06 drawing near, however, the ninnies can look to other things to freak out about. One North Carolina High School was nearly shut down over remarks relating to the day on MySpace, and yet another mother fears giving birth to demon-spawn and insists on induced labor to prevent giving birth on the day.

"Convert or die" is the theme of a seriously creepy new video game aimed at young Christian warriors, who can practice their end-time skills by blowing away non-christians in a military-style shoot 'em up brought to you by the "left Behind" franchise. The violent video game, which is based on the popular novels, will be distributed through churches. The game awards points for the destruction of people who refuse to be "born again," but if you find that boring, you can play one of the anti-Christ's legions and blow away Christians instead. The game isn't that different in most ways from what's already on the market, but the marriage of violent fantasy with a philosophy already heavy on the 'warrior' jargon makes me very wary of the whole exercise. Then there's the the inherent hypocrisy of such a theme- if this game was produced by any other religious groups (Muslims, anyone?) there would be screaming headlines denouncing it. Instead, everyone involved seems wildly pleased with themselves, as if encouraging teens to blow away infidels for Jesus was an admirable thing.

I think it should be noted that this trash does not represent all of us, and it certainly doesn’t represent who Jesus Christ is.

Go to sliceoflaodicea.com is one example of Christians speaking out againt this kind of garbage.

And you’re right, very hypocritical of them indeed.

I have news for that woman who doesn’t want to give birth on 6-6-06. First of all, the devil isn’t real–given that fact, it is possible that a woman can give birth to a really horrible kid any day of the year…if the sweet little darling is born on 6-6-06, just pray she/he isn’t ADHD. I have post traumatic stress syndrome from raising a kid with ADHD and while he isn’t the devil, he’s pretty close, and he was born in August 27 years ago.

for the fourth comment made by the woman, you are so wrong about the devil. He is real as you and I are and yeah that junk about the 666 thing I don’t believe because if you have Jesus in your heart and are strong, the devil can tempt you as much as he wants but the Lord won’t let us get into something that is too big for us. He promised us that.

i was a bit worried at first then a reliesed i’ve always thought the bible as a story book of some sort. taken to seriously, with a whole religion behind it. if the ‘beast’ is meant to appear today, how is it that, i am enjoying lovely weather(bearing in mind i live in England) and that nothing bad has happened. i’m having a brilliant day. although its going rather slow and i did wake up at 4:44am does that mean anything?! hahaha..i’m only kidding.
