Adventures in Creative Misquoting: Mailbag

Monday February 26, 2007
A few weeks ago, I poked fun at a letter to the editor that demanded equal recognition for Christian symbols alongside such Wiccan and Masonic emblems as the Eye of Horus and the Washington monument. The letter was written by one Carrie Scoggins, who eventually found our little corner of the internets. Carrie writes:
Just so you know, since you seemed to only print part of what I said about the 10 Commandments issue in the Sidelines newspaper at MTSU...

First, the lawsuit was brought by Wiccans, as that is a primarily Wiccan area...

Secondly, here are the quotes from Freemason's own books to 'site my sources,' as they really do worship those deities stated and it is written in their books (not just counter-cult ministries such as Texe Marrs, Ed Decker, and John Ankerberg's books exposing them as a cult..

What Schaard said.

I find it intellectually amusing when a xian steps up and attempts to authoritatively challenge the beliefs of non-xians - as though they actually have a leg to stand on. Silly.
