The problem with the death of someone like Falwell is that there is invariably someone who will rise up and take his place.

The one who takes up Falwell’s mantle could very well be a greater fountain of intolerance and vitriol than Falwell ever was.

I am soooo tempted to launch into a rousing rendition of “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead”, but I won’t.
My sympathy goes out to his family, his followers and friends. With his passing perhaps his bigotry and homophobia will die with him.
May the God he worships deal with him as he did with gays and lesbians in America.

My first thought on hearing of Falwell’s death was, “He must have gotten a h**l of a surprise right after he died.” I mentioned that to a Christian friend, and he laughed a bit, and admitted he thought the same thing.

It is so sad to find so many who claim to be Christians who have no intention of behaving in a Christly way. “WWJD” is something they should be asking themselves all the time.

I’ll stick to WWBD (what would Buffy do).
