Update on Wiccan Snub
Thursday August 30, 2007
To his credit, President Bush apparently regrets his "accidental" snub of war widow Roberta Stewart. While I refuse to believe that such a well-known figure was inadvertently left out, Stewart appears happy with his apology:
"I was very pleased with the way the conversation went, very pleased that he did call and put this right," she said. With regards to her faith, Bush told her he "would not discriminate against someone because of their religion," Stewart said.

Hmmmm…. That Bush himself was unaware, I can certainly believe. His “regrets” are simply words put into his mouth by his speech writers.
That the snub was “accidental” is about as transparent as plastic wrap. Who do they think they’re kidding?
