New evidence has been submitted to a federal court in an attempt to vacate the 1993 conviction of Damien Echols. The evidence includes DNA that is not related to any of the three boys convicted, and may link a relative to the case instead. Additionally, there is evidence that a key accusation against the three- the "satanic" mutilation of the victims- was in fact the work of wildlife.
