The Boline or
Bolline is a small, sickle shaped knife used to cut herbs used in rituals
and spells, and generally, to perform any cutting tasks. The sickle shaped
knife can be traced to Druid* mistletoe customs,
and is a lunar tool. The white handle is a carry-over from ritual magick.
*Another term found in Welsh custom is 'kerfan.'
