the world's first monotheistic revealed religion and the forerunner of
Judaism and
Christianity. Zoroaster
taught of one ineffable deity of light, Ahura-Mazda,
opposed by the spirit of darkness, Ahriman,
and of a coming savior, or sayoshant, who would redeem the world and judge
sinners.
Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the world,
and is still practiced to this day. Founded thousands of years ago,
it is the spiritual precursor to both Judaism and Christianity.
