Gurudwara is a Sikh temple. Gurudwara
means "Gateway
to the Guru," as the Gurudwara functions as the dwelling place of the Sikh
holy scriptures, the Guru
Granth Sahib,
or Holy Living Guru, housed within. The best known Gurudwara is the
Golden Temple built at Amritsar by Guru Amar Das, a stunning,
gold leafed temple that seemingly floats on a pool of water:
