Horus was one of the chief deities of Egypt, Falcon-headed and crowned with the solar disk. The son of the goddess Isis and the reincarnated god Osiris, Horus was embodied by the living Pharoah. Horus had several facets, among which were the solar falcon, Ra-Horakhty, Horus-Behudet, who battled the God of Discord (Seth), and the child-god Hoor-par-kraat (Harpocrates to the Greeks, both mean "Horus the Child").
