Greek, from the Hebrew "YHVH Tzaviot," usually translated "Lord of Hosts," a name of God in the Old Testament. Today, it is often translated as "commander of armies."
The name Iao Sabaoth is also applied together or seperately as Gnostic archons; the Gnostic Iao is associated with both Abraxas and the seven headed dragon; he is sometimes referred to as the "Father of Lies."
"Holy, holy, Lord of Sabaoth, hosanna in the highest, the Blessed."
