In the Santeria/Lukumi faith, the Ibeyi (Yoruban, twins) are the Divine Twins, usually represented as children, representing good fortune and happiness. They are the first man and woman, and represent unity and polarity, much like the yin and yang of Taoism. They are the eternally opposing yet harmonious forces in the universe.
