Malek Taus is the "Peacock Angel," of the Yezidis, sometimes equated with Lucifer. Malek was once the rebellious angel Azazel, who in Islamic mythology lead a rebellion in heaven and became Iblis. In Yezidi legend, however, he was reconciled to God and rules over the earth and the seven archangels.
