The Sayoshant is a Zoroastrian messiah figure, one of three prophesied saviors who, acording to legend, will come some 3,000 years after the death of the prophet Zoroaster. The first will be born of a virgin and initiate the final battle between good and evil. The last sayoshant will prevail over evil forever, and will raise the dead to participate in a final judgement, wherein all of creation will be purified and redeemed.
