In the Asatru faith, a sumbel is a ritualized toasting ceremony. In a ceremony drawn from ancient Scandinavian religious feasts, a tradtional drinking horn is blessed and passed between participants, who ritually toast the Gods, heroes, and ancestors. It is also a traditional time to make oaths.
