Sympathetic magick is also known as imitative magic. There are two types of sympathetic magick, one based on imitation, the other on correspondence. Imitative magick involves using effigies or other means to affect the environment or other people. The principal of correspondence is based on the idea that one can influence something based on it's relationship to another thing.
