Vanatru usually refers to a branch of the Asatru faith, specifically those who follow the gods of the Vanir.
The word Vanatru is not Norse, but a modern compound of recent origin created with Norse roots to differentiate some followers of the Vanir from followers of the Aesir. It has the equivalent meaning of "true to the Vanir."
