In Vodoun (Voodoo) practice, a wanga is a spell, often one using a created charm. Wanga are usually a collection of 'secret' ingredients collected in a bottle or pouch, they are carried for luck, prosperity, healing, or protection. These charms are directly related to the gris-gris (or mojo bag), a Hoodoo charm.
