Zurvan

Zurvan is the ancient Persian God of eternity, the father of Ahurah-Mazda and Ahriman in Indo-Iranian mythology. He was the chief Persian deity before the advent of Zoroastrianism. A god of time and space, Zurvan was associated with the the axis mundi: the most common image of Zurvan depicts a winged, lion headed deity encircled by a serpent representing the motion of the sun.
