Aueskla means "star" in Lithuanian, and the Ausekla Zvaigzne (literally, "star cross"), or Star of Auseklis, is the emblem of the Baltic Goddess Auseklis.

The symbol is one of many ancient cosmological and magical symbols used in Eastern European folk art, and represents the goddess as the personification of the planet Venus.
