Jediism, or Jedi Religion, represents a diverse set of beliefs organized only as much as the individual believer wishes to organize them. However, one belief that unites most if not all Jedi is some concept of the Force.
The Force is generally viewed as an impersonal energy field that links all things, although some Jedi who also follow a second religion may see the force as an extension of a supernatural entity.
Respecting the Force:
Jedi believe in working in harmony with the Force, which generally involves respecting life, being aware of one's surroundings, and acting in accordance with one's environment rather than in opposition to it. Such practices and beliefs are often compared to Daoist and Buddhist practices and beliefs
Working with the Force:
Some Jedi believe in interacting with the Force on a metaphysical level, primarily through meditation and focus of willpower. While no Jedi thinks he is going to be able to use the Force to fly or other spectacular feats depicted in Star Wars movies and books, they may accept the ability to enact changes within themselves and perhaps some external changes as well, akin to many New Age and neopagan beliefs.
