On which religion(s), if any, does the blog focus?

All of them, primarily Christianity, from a secularist viewpoint.

How often is this blog updated?

Several times a day typically.

What is this blog about?

This is NOT a religious blog per se. It talks a lot about religion at times, but is described by its author, Ed Brayton, as "Thoughts from the Interface of Science, Religion, Law, and Culture". It talks about culture war issues quite a lot, but can vary from anything to the latest religious right idiocy to the latest Supreme Court nominee to arguments for evolution to what the Founding Fathers actually did say about the separation of Church and State to torture to anti-gay discrimination and everything in between.

What do you like best about this blog?

Brayton is a straight libertarian deist who is liberal on social issues. He uses language that some people may not like sometimes, but what I like best is how good he is at providing rational talking points on culture war issues. If you have a religious fundamentalist in your life, you need to be reading this blog.

Lessons Learned

  • Founding Fathers were for separation of Church and State
  • Evolution is true and some of the arguments for it.
  • Elena Kagan is too pro-executive power
  • much, much, more.
